From the Kensai’s cave:
In the desert, there’s really not much to do. Stay out of the sun in the heat of the day… Take a nap…enjoy the cool night air. Stars spread out above you and you can almost believe you can see infinity. Of course, having nothing to do but watch stars for a century or two and you might end up being mad enough to start writing on the walls.
I’ve had to rebuild, redesign, and completely rethink this quest a number of times while finding a way to make it work. I had originally intended for this quest to be a single large quest. TM and I had gone as far as creating a 96 room labyrinth. Unfortunately, the sheer size of the project made it undoable. I went back to the drawing board a few times before we came up with a solution that would work. Enter today’s quest… you will have to determine which four random quests out of six to complete that will let you pass on to the Sandsea Gate. The clues as to which doors you must pass through to complete the quest can be found in the quest itself. At the end of each random is an ignis gem. Touch it and the quest will be complete. HOWEVER…if you go through the wrong quest… MWAHAHAHAHA!!! . Goodluck!*
Next week: We asked and so far the answer has been a resounding yes. The poll is still going on, but the house should be ready. There will also be another shop, filled with weapons, helms, and wings created by Cronix!
*on the plus side, even the wrong quests have drops.

From the Kensais cave:
Deep within the drifting sands of the Sandsea, many miles from anything, a single pyramid reaches for the sky. This silent building is the lone remainder of a once thriving population. There, in that hidden valley, Ahmet Ptah has stood watch over the gate that is a part of the complex system that held Isathaara in check. To find this pyramid one must journey beyond the place where even one’s echo cannot find you. Here, above this blanket of sands, beneath a mantle of stars, there is little to lend urgency to the senses. Perhaps it is this which results in such expansive thoughts as those of Ahmet Ptah. Gazing into the stars and listening to the soft whisper of the desert sands, he reads the future and the past, using all the skills he gained so very long ago. You must travel through labyrinthine depths of the pyramid seeking the way to the gate, and to Ahmet Ptah… after all, it is written that a hero will come.
It’s been a while in coming, but soon you will be making your way to the next of the gates. Perhaps finally you can get a few more answers. But be ready… Ahmet Ptah intends to test your reasoning skills and your commitment. True Mortal has bent his amazing talent to the task, creating lovely artwork. He’s also created some masks and a set of wings for you, Cronix has crafted an exquisite weapon set, and of course the ever incomparable Tomix has made the cutscenes.
And now, on to a bit more: True Mortal has been debating making a Sandsea themed Palace style house. Since he’s undecided, we’ve decided to allow YOU to make up his mind for him, so I’ll be putting up a poll to allow you to decide!

From the Kensai's Cave:
Well, it’s been a long time since TM was hurt in that car accident. We’ve seen signs of his recovery appearing in game, and finally, tonight, we have a new offering for you. You’ve been introduced to the Khy’Rhian in the course of TMs saga. Finally, you will learn more about them, as well as the shadowy necromancer who created them. What his purpose was in creating them we will never know, but perhaps you can learn how they were made, and what force compels them to serve Nivalis.
It’s been a long trying week. Fortunately TM has fully recovered and to help slide you back into his story, we are bringing you the tale of Vae’Kan… a mysterious necromancer who may have a clue for you as to how the Khy’Rhian were created. True Mortal is now back in his accustomed spot, and is ready to send you to meet this Vae’Kan. Good Luck, and have a great weekend! True Mortal created all the art for this, as well as the weapon. True Mortal is also making his musical debut in DragonFable with a creepy musical track!
I will also be adding a new house shop to Stoneheart Fall early next week with lots of the new, creepy furnishings made by True Mortal found in The Maker!
Chapter 2 Finale
I'm so sorry, but we've had to delay the Finale of this chapter until next week. Wargoth is sticking and we all want to make sure that you guys have the most epic boss fight possible here! Trust me, Ghost, Rolith, and Verlyrus have done some simple amazing things with this boss fight and the titan fight and it is worth the wait!

After searching through the deepest forests and woods between Oaklore and Falconreach, you have finally uncovered the location of the Forest Gate! The Wolf and the Bear Guardians will put you to a test of strength though before sending you forward though. Are you up to the challenge? Or will you be torn to shreds?
Rolith and Ghost have added two new spells to Alexander's repertoire! Frost-ra, a three strike attack that lowers ice resistance by 25%, and Frost Bomb!
Leap Day Reminder
The end of the holiday season this year was crazy! In all the hustle and bustle of the Frostval season, Togslayer Armor got lost in the shuffle. Luckily, we have an extra day this year! On the 29th of February, for 24 hours, you'll be able to get Togslayer Armor, gather “coal” from a random quest full of togs and train the armor up!
Also, a big thank you to Verlyrus! He's been poking through a few of our older quests and fixing things for us!

Log in and talk to the Kenai in Stoneheart Fall about the Forest Gate to get started on this week's release!
From the Kensai’s cave:
Alas, the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Such is the case today when I learned there IS such a thing as too much background. So the offering is now five quests, rather than six. Ambition, being what it is, is often hard on the ego when things don’t work quite the way you plan them to. Such is life, and we learn and move on.
You can only gain the new weapons if you locate the forest gate. (for those of you who were wondering) The other quests have other drops.
You will at last meet the guardians who stand sentinel by their gate. They have been apparently waiting for you for a VERY long time. Next week… the boss fight with the guardians of the forest gate.

Whew! Sorry for the later release tonight everyone! There were lots and lots of little things to do for this release!
Blackwyn Tomb has been a side projects of Ghosts for a few weeks. You can explore the large rambling map and find hidden shops, lockpicking puzzlesand avenge a few heroes while you're there! To finish questing there you simply have to walk back out of the front of the tomb.
There are lots of secrets to unlock here so the spoiler rule is in effect here! Who knows what you'll find in the Tomb... or how it may affect things outside the tomb as well?
Falconreach Guardian Tower
The new Falconreach Tower is up! Constructed with the original plans on what was left of the base of the old tower. Check out the new expanded tower and visit with some old friends.
True Mortal has opened his forge and you can now merge your Ignis Gems into new weapons, capes and helms! A few options come with even more doom!

Rolith has been working hard on the titan fight against Drakath. You'll get to team up with Sepulchure and, hopefully, take down the wrathful Prince...to win this battle though, you really will have to work together and watch how Sepulchure's attacks affect Drakath.
This titan fight will be available to all players, so get your dragon and fight! If you can defeat Drakath the Draconis Tenebras can be yours....
Forged by True Mortal!
The first quests in the True Mortal saga have finally arrived! Eric Greydawn, True Mortal and Tomix have all been hard at work on this. The Key represents Tomix's first foray into full-length cutscenes and Inroad is Eric's first quest offering. The Ignis Gems that drop from the random quests will eventually be merged into powerful new weapons and items through True Mortal!
